Composite Resin Restoration (White Fillings)
Resin or tooth colored fillings, are now the filling material of choice. The resin material used contains small "filler" particles for strength and wear resistance. They contain the finest and most up-to-date materials available today and come in many different shades of tooth enamel to match your teeth exactly.
Some patients have silver fillings in their mouth. Over time silver fillings begin to leak and let bacteria into the tooth. The bacteria lead to decay and weaken the tooth risking fracture and other more serious problems. We will inspect your existing fillings during your examination and recommend a new restoration at the appropriate time.
