Digital radiographs use 95% less radiation than traditional x-rays and also allow us to see in sharp vivid detail. The radiograph appears on the computer monitor within seconds. We have wireless Schick sensors that are integrated into our Patterson Dental Software allowing us to save all of your x-ray pictures right into you digital computer chart. Using the hand held x-ray machine called the Nomad, we are able to take your x-rays with more speed and convenience producing instant images. As well as digital x-rays, we use our intra-oral camera to take digital photographs of the inside of your mouth. You can easily see the small details in your teeth when the picture is displayed on the computer screen.

Intra-Oral photographs give a clear picture of the open margins, fractures and decay between the tooth and the silver filling.
The Diagnodent laser cavity scanner helps us to diagnose hidden decay. Now we are able to identify cavities when they are in their earliest stages, when they are small and easy to fix. The FDA has certified this laser fluorescence system as 100% accurate in detecting cavities.
The Diagnodent sees 2mm into the tooth. The explorer can not reach hidden decay.
Not only do we take pride in our office technology, we also take pride in how we attempt to educate our patients using that technology. The Casey Patient Education system will demonstrate the different procedures in live-action videos with crisp, state of the art 3-D animations and explain complex procedures in easy to understand language.

ViziLite Plus is a painless exam that gives us a better chance to find any oral abnormalities you may have at an early stage. We find that using the ViziLite Plus Exam along with a visual oral cancer examination improves our ability to identify suspicious areas that may have been missed during the conventional examination.
